2024 French American Friendship Contest

The 2024 French American Friendship Contest is open to high school students studying French as well as their teachers at their New England school. At the initiative of the Cultural Service of the Consulate General of France in Boston and the Lounsbery Foundation, this educational and fun action aims to adopt a historical, cultural, artistic, and personal approach while celebrating 200 years of Franco-American relations through Lafayette's last trip to the United States and the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings.

At the key, a one-week trip to Paris and Normandy financed by the Lounsbery Foundation, during which the winners will have the chance to discover the richness of the historical and cultural heritage of France with a program including emblematic activities of the country such as a cruise on the Seine river, a view of the Eiffel Tower from the Trocadero esplanade but also the visit of places steeped in history in the image the Musée des Armées, the Pointe du Hoc or the Caen Memorial Museum.

In addition, this site allows students and teachers to be supported throughout the duration of the competition. It serves as a pedagogical support with the consultation of the resources but also the rules of the competition and it is here that the students must submit their projects.
